Goal: Advocate for relevant national agencies to fulfil national and global commitments that address climate change

CEJ will ensure that relevant agencies are well-informed and compliant with international policy regimes and national community needs; enhance climate literacy, particularly in the areas of disaster preparedness and understanding carbon footprints; mobilize communities to actively engage in implementing Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) related to climate change; apply pressure on the government to take decisive action on climate change and share knowledge and data with international networks focused on climate change mitigation and adaptation.

Board Activities:

• Awareness on international policy and commitment to the public and relevant national agencies
• Survey, research and educate local communities on climate adaptation, resilience and disaster preparedness
• Facilitate adaptation related methods and techniques
• National and south Asian regional and international level advocacy campaign and networking on energy sovereignty
• Climate change adaptation, mitigation, and public interest litigation
• Addressing false solutions in climate change mitigation and adaptation
