Goal: Strengthen people with environmental knowledge and build a network of environmental defenders to secure the rights of affected communities.

CEJ efforts will be to inculcate environmental literacy and enhance engagement of environmental organizations, experts and activists, and communities in environmental good governance and environmental justice. Most importantly to make people aware of the requirement of strong environmental policies to address environmental issues as well as commercialization and politicization of environmental issues and shrinking civil society space.

Plans to:

• Enhance the knowledge of communities on the environment and its components through capacity building to confront environmental issues.
• Strengthen existing CEJ networks and network with new CSO members.
• Increase civic literacy and advocate society on decision making processes including EIA process using both physical and virtual platforms.

Promote distance learning mechanism, with audio and video resources built upon existing case studies, research materials, reports, that could be used to educate communities.
